Management consulting is the practice of helping an organisation solve a specific business problem — a stalled growth plan, a broken process, a structure that no longer fits the business — by diagnosing what's actually going wrong, designing a fix, and staying involved until that fix is working. At ORIGENNT, it's the first and founding practice of our firm: strategic, operational, financial, and organisational advisory for startups, SMEs, and enterprises across Odisha and Eastern India.
📜
MOA-Authorised for management consultancy under ORIGENNT PRIVATE LIMITED's Memorandum of Association. Companies Act 2013 · Orissa.
Management consulting is independent, outside expertise brought in to solve a defined business problem — not a permanent hire, not a vague retainer, but a structured engagement with a start, a method, and a measurable end point.
Quick Answer
Management consulting means bringing in outside expertise to diagnose a specific business problem, design a fix, and stay through implementation.
It differs from recruitment or HR outsourcing, which solve people-supply problems rather than strategy, structure, or process problems.
ORIGENNT's practice covers six disciplines: strategy, organisation design, change management, financial & operational advisory, market entry, and process improvement.
Every engagement follows the same five phases — diagnose, design, mobilise, deliver, sustain & transfer — scoped to the size of the business.

Registered, not freelance. ORIGENNT PRIVATE LIMITED's Memorandum of Association explicitly authorises management consultancy — giving clients a legally accountable partner, not an individual consultant working off an invoice.
Not Just Advice
Diagnosis first. Recommendations second.
Most businesses don't actually need "advice" — they need someone to look closely enough at how the business really runs to see what a founder or CEO, too close to the day-to-day, can no longer see clearly. That's the core of management consulting: an outside, structured, evidence-based look at a specific problem, followed by a plan that is realistic enough to actually get implemented.
ORIGENNT's management consulting practice covers four connected areas — strategy, organisation, operations, and change — because in a real business these problems are rarely isolated. A growth plan that ignores organisational structure fails. A restructuring that ignores how people actually work fails too. We work across all four so the fix holds.
01
Diagnose
Structured review of the business — data, process, people, and market — before any recommendation is made
02
Design
A specific, sequenced plan built for your business — not a generic framework applied off the shelf
03
Deliver
We stay through implementation — consulting that ends at a slide deck isn't consulting, it's a report
04
Sustain
Handover with the systems, training, and documentation your team needs to keep it running without us
Inside The Practice
Six disciplines, one engagement.
Every consulting engagement at ORIGENNT draws from these six areas — scoped up or down depending on what your business actually needs, never sold as a bundle you don't require.
🧭
Discipline 01
Strategy & Transformation
Business strategy, market positioning, and growth planning for founders and leadership teams making a significant next move — expansion, pivot, or scale-up.
Reporting structures, role clarity, and span of control redesigned for how the business actually operates today — not how it was structured on day one.
Cost structure review, operational efficiency, and financial process advisory — identifying where money and time are quietly leaking out of the business.
A lot of what passes for "consulting" is a set of slides built from a template, presented once, and never followed up on. That's not what a management consulting engagement should look like — and it's not how we run ours.
Every ORIGENNT consulting engagement follows the same five-phase structure, regardless of size. The phases don't change; only how much time each one takes does.
01
Diagnose
Stakeholder interviews, data review, and process mapping to define the real problem — often different from the one we were first told about.
02
Design
A specific plan with sequencing, ownership, and success metrics — reviewed and agreed with leadership before anything moves.
03
Mobilise
Communication, training, and early pilots to get the organisation ready for the change before it's rolled out in full.
04
Deliver
Full implementation with ORIGENNT embedded alongside your team — not observing from the outside.
05
Sustain & Transfer
Documentation, internal training, and a formal handover so the result outlasts the engagement.

How Engagements Are Structured
Three ways to work with us.
Project-Based Advisory
A defined problem, a defined scope, a defined end date. Best for a specific strategy question, a one-time restructuring, or a market entry decision.
Retained Advisory
Ongoing access to ORIGENNT's consulting team on a monthly basis — for businesses that need a strategic sounding board through a longer growth phase.
Fractional / Embedded Consulting
An ORIGENNT consultant embedded part-time inside your leadership team — for businesses not yet ready to hire a full-time Chief of Staff or COO.
Common Questions
Before you get in touch.
How is this different from hiring an HR consultant or a recruiter?
Recruitment and HR outsourcing solve a people-supply problem — filling roles, running payroll, managing compliance. Management consulting solves a business-design problem — is the strategy right, is the structure right, is the process right. ORIGENNT runs both practices, but they're separate engagements with separate scopes.
Do you only work with large companies?
No — most of our consulting engagements are with startups and SMEs, typically businesses past their first year of operation and facing a specific growth, structure, or operational problem. The method scales down; a 20-person company gets the same five-phase process as a 500-person one, at a proportionate scope and cost.
How long does a typical engagement take?
It depends entirely on scope — a focused strategy review can run 4–6 weeks; an organisation-wide restructuring with change management can run several months. We define the timeline during the diagnostic phase, before any commercial commitment is made.
What does an engagement cost?
Every engagement is scoped individually based on the problem, not sold off a fixed price list — because a two-week diagnostic and a six-month transformation programme aren't the same product. We provide a written proposal with fees after the initial conversation.
What do you need from us to get started?
A short initial call to understand the problem you're trying to solve, followed — if it's a fit — by a scoping conversation with the relevant stakeholders on your side. No cost or commitment for the first conversation.
Have a business problem worth diagnosing properly?
ORIGENNT PRIVATE LIMITED — Companies Act 2013 registered, MOA-authorised for management consultancy. The first conversation costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
